while i was walking home today, there was a lady walking her dog. when i neared her she yawned and when i was especially close she said hi. i looked at her little dog and suddenly i forgot the english language; i didn’t know how to respond to “hi.” after several moments i smiled and said “evening” while continuing to walk, luckily not far from her at that point.
